Why does mid-body width matter? A condom with a 53 mm base does not necessarily remain 53 mm wide through its full body. Shaped Trojan products can become significantly wider toward the middle or head.

Trojan Magnum Condom Size Chart

Trojan's Magnum range is designed around larger dimensions, but not every Magnum condom has the same measurements.

Some Magnum products use a tapered or flared profile with a narrower base and wider middle. Magnum Ecstasy uses a much more bulbous shape, while Magnum XL has the widest base width in the current Magnum sizing chart.

Magnum XL does not simply mean “a longer Magnum.” Its official sizing difference includes a wider 58 mm base and approximately 63 mm mid-body width, while Magnum Original uses a 55 mm base and widens to about 62 mm through the body.

The easiest way to understand Trojan sizing is to compare actual millimetres rather than relying only on names such as Original, Magnum or XL.

What Size Is a Regular Trojan Condom?

Many of Trojan's current classic latex condoms use a base width of 53 mm, which converts to approximately 2.09 inches when laid flat.

Examples include Trojan Original, Ultra Thin, Ultra Ribbed, BareSkin and Extended Pleasure.

Their stated length is generally around 170–190 mm, or approximately 6.7–7.5 inches.

That makes 53 mm a useful reference for a traditional Trojan straight fit. It should not be interpreted as the only possible “regular condom width” across every condom company.

Trojan Original Condom Size

Current Trojan Original condoms use a classic straight-walled shape.

Trojan lists their dimensions at approximately:

Mid-body width: 53 mm

Because both base and mid-body widths are 53 mm, Trojan Original provides a useful example of a relatively straight condom shape rather than a strongly flared or bulbous design.

Trojan Ultra Thin Condom Size

Trojan Ultra Thin currently uses the same basic published dimensions as Trojan Original: approximately 170–190 mm long with a 53 mm base and 53 mm mid-body width.

This illustrates an important point about condom shopping: a thinner condom is not automatically a smaller or narrower condom.

Thickness, texture, lubrication, width, length and shape are separate product features.

“Thin” describes product feel or construction—not necessarily width. Always check the actual size specification instead of assuming Ultra Thin means a tighter condom.

Why Trojan Base Width and Mid-Body Width Can Be Different

A straight condom can have approximately the same width through much of its body, while a tapered, flared or bulbous condom can be considerably wider above the base.

Trojan Magnum Original Condom Size

Magnum Original is larger and more shaped than a classic straight Trojan condom.

Current Trojan sizing information lists Magnum Original at approximately 180–200 mm long, with a 55 mm base width and a 62 mm mid-body width.

In inches, the base is approximately 2.17 inches wide when flat, while the 62 mm mid-body is approximately 2.44 inches.

The difference matters because the condom is tapered or flared rather than being 62 mm wide at every point.

This design provides more room through the body while retaining a narrower base.

Trojan Magnum XL Condom Size

Magnum XL is currently Trojan's Magnum option with the widest published base measurement in the main Magnum chart.

Its listed dimensions are approximately:

Base width: 58 mm
Mid-body width: 63 mm
Base width: about 2.3 inches
Shape: tapered / flared

Trojan describes Magnum XL as 30% bigger than standard-size Trojan lubricated latex condoms. The practical sizing point is that the base itself is wider than Magnum Original, not merely that the condom carries an XL label.

Trojan Magnum Raw and BareSkin Size

Magnum Raw and Magnum BareSkin are current examples with a 57 mm base width and approximately 60 mm through the mid-body.

That means their base sits between Magnum Original's 55 mm and Magnum XL's 58 mm.

Their overall length is around 190–210 mm, making them longer than some 180–200 mm Magnum models.

This again shows why “Magnum” alone is not an exact size. Two Magnum products can differ in base width, mid-body width and total length.

Trojan Magnum Ecstasy Condom Size

Magnum Ecstasy is one of the clearest examples of why shape matters as much as a single width number.

Its base is listed at approximately 53 mm—similar numerically to a classic Trojan base—but the mid-body opens to approximately 73 mm.

That very large change creates a bulbous or parachute-style shape rather than a straight or conventional flared tube.

Someone looking only at “53 mm base width” could therefore incorrectly assume that Magnum Ecstasy has the same overall shape as Trojan Original.

Same base width does not mean same fit profile. Trojan Original is approximately 53/53 mm, while Magnum Ecstasy is approximately 53/73 mm from base to mid-body.

The change from Trojan Original to Magnum Original is therefore more complex than simply adding 2 mm at the base. Magnum Original also becomes much wider through its mid-body.

What Penis Girth Fits Trojan Magnum?

Trojan's current Magnum guidance says Magnum condoms are intended as large-size condoms and references users with penis girth of at least approximately 4.75 inches, along with a penis length of at least about 7.1 inches for the range.

However, this should not be interpreted as one exact universal rule for every Magnum product.

As the chart above shows, Magnum Ecstasy, Magnum Original, Magnum Raw and Magnum XL have different base widths, body widths and shapes.

If you are using body measurements to choose a condom, measure erect girth and length and compare those measurements with the specific Trojan product rather than assuming all Magnum models fit identically.

Trojan Condom Size: Base Width vs Nominal Width

Trojan's size tables refer to the base measurement as Base (Nominal) / Flat Width.

This is a lay-flat condom measurement rather than a body circumference. A 53 mm Trojan condom does not mean the user's erect girth should measure 53 mm.

Likewise, a Magnum XL base width of 58 mm is not the same as 58 mm penis diameter or circumference.

Body girth should be measured all the way around the erect shaft. Nominal width describes the condom flattened from side to side.

Trojan Non-Latex Condom Sizes

Trojan also sells non-latex products, and their dimensions do not necessarily match classic latex condoms.

Material matters as well as dimensions. Trojan notes that non-latex products can stretch differently from natural latex. Do not assume two products with similar width numbers will feel identical when their materials are different.

How to Measure Before Choosing a Trojan Condom

If your current Trojan condom feels loose or excessively tight, measuring can give you a better starting point before switching products.

Measure Erect Girth

Become fully erect.
Use a soft measuring tape or non-stretch string.
Wrap it around the fullest part of the shaft.
Keep it snug without compressing the body.
Record the complete circumference.

Measure Erect Length

Measure from the base of the erect penis toward the tip. Length matters because Trojan models range from shorter classic dimensions around 170–190 mm to longer models around 190–210 mm.

Do not match penis girth directly to Trojan nominal width. Body girth and flat condom width are different measurements. Use Trojan's current sizing guidance to connect the two.

How to Know if Your Trojan Condom Is Too Loose

The condom repeatedly slides during use.
The base does not remain securely positioned.
The shaft area feels obviously baggy.
The condom repeatedly slips partly off.
The condom comes off completely.
A narrower Trojan model stays more securely in place.

A product with more body room can feel comfortable, but it still needs to remain securely positioned.

If a Magnum or roomier Trojan shape repeatedly slips, compare the specific base width and shape rather than assuming every wider model will fit better.

How to Know if a Trojan Condom Is Too Tight

Painful squeezing around the shaft.
Uncomfortable pressure at the base.
Numbness.
Major difficulty rolling the condom down.
The material feels severely overstretched.
A wider option remains secure and is significantly more comfortable.

A condom should feel secure, but painful compression is not the goal. If a 53 mm straight Trojan feels overly restrictive, comparing a shaped or wider product may be more useful than simply continuing with the same fit.

Which Trojan Condom Is the Biggest?

“Biggest” can mean different things because width varies at different parts of the condom.

In the current Magnum range, Magnum XL has the widest published base width at approximately 58 mm.

Magnum Ecstasy, however, becomes much wider through its body, reaching about 73 mm through the mid-shaft despite having a narrower 53 mm base.

That means there is no single useful answer without specifying whether you mean:

widest base;
widest mid-body;
longest overall condom; or
roomiest shape.
