Condom Size Chart France: French brands commonly describe condom width as largeur nominale. Current official examples include SKYN Close Feel at 51 mm, Manix Universal at 52 mm, SKYN Original and Manix Suprême at 53 mm, Durex Classic/Intensity at 56 mm, SKYN King Size at 56 mm, Manix King Size Max at 56 mm, and Durex Nude XL at 60 mm. These are product examples—not a national law that defines every French condom size.

Condom Size Chart France: Current Brand Examples

France does not have one consumer-facing universal chart that forces every manufacturer to call the same width “standard” or “large”. The most reliable way to compare French-market condoms is to read the exact nominal width published by the manufacturer.

What Does “Largeur Nominale” Mean In France?

Largeur nominale is the French term you will commonly see for condom nominal width. It describes the condom's width when the product is laid flat. It is normally stated in millimetres.

It is not the same as penis girth, which is the full circumference around the erect shaft. It is also not the same as total condom length. This distinction matters because a 53 mm or 56 mm condom is not designed for a 53 mm or 56 mm body circumference.

French product pages often put the width directly beside labels such as ajusté, standard, large or king size. Use the millimetre number as the more precise comparison point.

France Condom Size Labels: Ajusté, Standard, Large, King Size And XL

Marketing language differs between French brands. Durex France uses terms such as Ajusté, Standard and Large. SKYN France uses a close-fit product and King Size. Manix uses standard product names alongside products such as King Size Max.

These labels are not directly interchangeable. SKYN King Size and Manix King Size Max are both currently 56 mm, while Durex Nude XL is 60 mm. Meanwhile Durex standard products can also be 56 mm. So the word “large” cannot be converted into one fixed French width.

Key lesson: in France, 56 mm can appear as “standard” in one brand and “king size / large” in another. Compare the exact nominal width instead of the category name alone.

Durex Condom Size Chart France

Durex France provides several clear current examples. Durex Love is listed as Ajustée with an average nominal width of 52.5 mm. Durex Classic Jeans and Classic Protect are listed as Standard with an average nominal width of 56 mm.

Durex Intensity is also currently listed at 56 mm in its standard version. At the wider end, Durex Nude XL is listed as Large with an average nominal width of 60 mm.

SKYN Condom Size Chart France

SKYN France currently publishes a simple three-step width pattern that is easy to understand. SKYN Close Feel is 51 mm, SKYN Original is 53 mm, and SKYN King Size is 56 mm.

SKYN Original's French product page explicitly identifies 53 mm as a standard size. King Size is described as longer and wider than the standard SKYN condom. Close Feel is the narrower option at 51 mm.

Manix Condom Size Chart France

Manix France currently publishes several useful width points. Manix Universal and multiple standard Manix products are listed at 52 mm. Manix Suprême, Contact Plus and ExcitationMax are examples at 53 mm. Manix King Size Max is a 56 mm large-fit example with a flared shape.

This shows the same brand-label problem seen elsewhere: a Manix large / King Size product can be 56 mm, while Durex France uses 56 mm for several standard products. The width is the technical comparison; the category is brand-specific.

How To Measure For A Condom In France

The measurement method does not change because you are shopping in France. Measure the penis while fully erect. For girth, wrap a flexible tape around the fullest part of the shaft and record the complete circumference.

Keep the tape against the skin without squeezing. If you do not have a flexible tape, use non-stretch string or a strip of paper, mark the overlap point and measure the marked length with a ruler.

1

Measure Fully Erect

Take body measurements in the condition in which an external condom is worn.

2

Measure Girth

Wrap around the fullest part and record full circumference.

3

Record The Unit

French product pages normally publish nominal width in millimetres.

4

Find Largeur Nominale

Compare the exact product width instead of relying on “standard” or “XL” alone.

5

Confirm Fit

The condom should apply correctly, stay secure and avoid painful restriction.

Does France Have A Universal Condom Size Standard?

French-market condoms must meet applicable medical-device requirements, but consumer-facing labels such as standard, large, king size or ajusté are not a simple universal brand-independent sizing chart. Current product pages make this obvious.

Durex can call 56 mm standard while SKYN calls 56 mm King Size and Manix uses 56 mm for King Size Max. Those labels describe each brand's own product family. The exact nominal width is therefore more useful when switching brands.

Is 52mm A Standard Condom Size In France?

52 mm is a common French-market width, but it should not be treated as the only standard size. Manix Universal and several other Manix products currently use 52 mm. Durex Love is close at 52.5 mm but is marketed as Ajusté.

This demonstrates that a 52–52.5 mm product may be described differently depending on brand and shape. Compare real width rather than assuming that “52 mm = standard” everywhere.

Is 53mm A Standard Condom Size In France?

53 mm is a major standard width in the French market. SKYN Original explicitly identifies 53 mm as standard on its French product page. Manix Suprême and Contact Plus are also current 53 mm examples.

If a 53 mm product fits well, use that width as your baseline when changing brands. A 53 mm condom made from polyisoprene may still feel different from a 53 mm latex condom, so material and shape remain relevant.

Is 56mm A Large Condom Size In France?

It depends on the brand. SKYN King Size is 56 mm and Manix King Size Max is 56 mm, so both brands use 56 mm for large-fit products. Durex France, however, lists many standard products at 56 mm.

This is perhaps the clearest example of why French size labels cannot be converted directly between brands. A person moving from a 56 mm Durex standard product to a 56 mm SKYN King Size is keeping a similar nominal width even though the labels sound very different.

Is 60mm An XL Condom Size In France?

60 mm is a current wider French-market example. Durex France lists Nude XL at 60 mm nominal width and labels it Large. That makes 60 mm a useful XL / wide comparison point in the current French Durex range.

Do not jump directly to 60 mm because a regular product feels tight once. First confirm correct application, measure girth and check the width of the product you currently use. A smaller step—from 53 to 56 mm, for example—may be more appropriate depending on the brand and body measurement.

French Condom Size Chart: Millimetres vs Centimetres

French condom specifications normally use millimetres for nominal width. If you are more comfortable thinking in centimetres, divide by 10.

Nominal WidthCentimetresFrench-Market Example
51 mm5.1 cmSKYN Close Feel
52 mm5.2 cmManix Universal
52.5 mm5.25 cmDurex Love
53 mm5.3 cmSKYN Original / Manix Suprême
56 mm5.6 cmDurex standard / SKYN King Size / Manix King Size Max
60 mm6.0 cmDurex Nude XL
Remember: 5.6 cm is the flat condom width when 56 mm is the nominal width. It is not a recommended body girth of 5.6 cm.

Condom Width vs Penis Girth In A French Size Guide

Penis girth and nominal width are different measurements. Girth is the full circumference around the erect penis. Nominal width is the flattened condom width.

Some manufacturer tools use girth to help place users into a product range, but there is no safe reason to create one universal France-only formula and treat it as an official rule. Use your girth measurement together with the specific manufacturer's size guide.

The Condom Measurement to Size Chart can be used as a general starting comparison, but current French product specifications should remain the final brand-level reference.

France Condom Sizes And Material Differences

Material can change perceived fit. Many Durex and Manix products are natural-rubber latex, while SKYN uses a synthetic polyisoprene material marketed as SKYNFEEL. Manix Suprême is also a polyisoprene, non-latex product.

A 53 mm non-latex condom may not feel identical to a 53 mm latex condom because elasticity, thickness and surface design differ. Use the width as a baseline, then adjust only if real fit consistently indicates that the product is too tight or too loose.

France Condom Sizes And Shape Differences

Shape also matters. Durex France lists contoured products, Manix King Size Max uses a flared shape, and SKYN Close Feel uses a straight shape. Equal nominal widths therefore do not guarantee equal room across the entire condom.

If the base feels secure but the shaft or head feels tight, a different shape may help without requiring the widest possible base. If the base itself slips, compare base width first.

How To Switch Condom Brands In France

Keep the nominal width of your current successful condom. If a 53 mm SKYN fits well and you want to try Manix, a 53 mm Manix product is a sensible first comparison. If a 56 mm Durex fits well, a 56 mm SKYN King Size or Manix King Size Max may be technically closer than a product selected only by the word “standard.”

Then compare shape and material. The same width may feel different after switching from latex to polyisoprene or from a contoured product to a straight one.

Correct Condom Use In France

France's Santé publique France provides a French-language male-condom use guide explaining how to put on and use an external condom correctly. Size selection does not replace correct application.

Use a new condom for each sex act, follow the instructions in the packet, and check the condom's expiry date and wrapper condition before use. If a condom breaks or slips, seek timely sexual-health advice appropriate to the situation.

See the Santé publique France condom-use guide.

Buying Condoms In France: Pharmacy, Supermarket And Online Labels

In France, the same technical width may appear across pharmacy, supermarket and online listings under different commercial names. The safest way to compare is to ignore shelf position and read the product specification itself. Look for largeur nominale, material, shape and length where published.

A supermarket product labelled “standard” may be technically close to a pharmacy product labelled “classic”, while a “king size” product from another brand can share the same nominal width as a standard-width Durex product. If you already know a width that fits well, use that number as your anchor when shopping in a different channel.

How To Compare French And International Condom Sizes

French product pages usually state nominal width in millimetres, which makes international comparison relatively easy. A 53 mm condom sold in France is still a 53 mm nominal-width condom when you compare it with a 53 mm product sold in another country, although shape, material and product naming can differ.

Do not translate the marketing word literally. “Large”, “XL”, “King Size”, “Wide” and “Standard” are not internationally standardized consumer labels. Translate the technical number instead. This is especially useful for travelers, online shoppers and people moving between France and another country.

What If Your French Condom Size Is Between Two Widths?

If your measurement or current fit places you between two available widths, compare the nearby products rather than forcing one exact answer. If a 53 mm condom is secure but too restrictive, 56 mm is a reasonable nearby comparison in several French ranges. If 56 mm feels loose, moving back toward 53 mm may be more appropriate.

Try to change one variable at a time. If possible, compare similar materials and shapes while changing width. That makes it easier to tell whether width actually solved the problem.

France Condom Size Chart: Practical Takeaway

The French market does not reduce neatly to one small/medium/large table. Current official examples overlap: 53 mm can be standard in SKYN, 56 mm can be standard in Durex and king size in SKYN or Manix, and 60 mm can represent a current XL option in Durex France.

The practical rule is therefore simple: measure girth, read the exact largeur nominale, check length and shape, and confirm the condom stays secure without painful restriction. Treat brand labels as shopping shortcuts, not as precise sizing standards.
