Compare Trojan Magnum vs Durex condom sizes using current manufacturer specifications. Magnum models use tapered, flared or bulbous shapes with different base and mid-body widths, while Durex uses Close, Regular and Wide fit categories in its UK range.
The most useful comparison is not “which brand is bigger?” but how each specific model is shaped. Trojan publishes base and mid-body flat widths for Magnum models. Durex UK publishes a simpler nominal-width fit system.

Some Magnum models are roomier than Durex regular or wide products, but a single yes/no answer is misleading. Magnum Original has a 55 mm base, which is actually 1 mm narrower than Durex UK Regular at 56 mm; however, Magnum Original widens to 62 mm at the mid-body.
Magnum Raw has a 57 mm base—the same number as Durex UK Wide Fit—but widens to 60 mm in the body. Magnum XL has a 58 mm base and 63 mm mid-body. So Magnum’s larger feel often comes from shape and mid-body room, not only the base-width number.
That is why one nominal-width number cannot fully compare a flared Magnum with a straighter Durex product.
Trojan’s current chart lists Magnum Original at 55 mm base width and 62 mm mid-body width. Durex UK’s current fit guide lists Regular Fit at 56 mm nominal width.
At the base, Durex Regular is technically 1 mm wider than Magnum Original. But Magnum Original’s tapered/flared shape gives substantially more room farther up the condom. Therefore, they should not be described as equivalent sizes just because their base widths are close.
Magnum Raw currently lists a 57 mm base width and 60 mm mid-body width. Durex UK Wide Fit is 57 mm nominal width. The two therefore share a 57 mm reference at the base/nominal-width level, but Magnum Raw is contoured and expands farther up.
If a Durex 57 mm straight or Easy-On wide product feels different from Magnum Raw, the difference can be explained by shape, material, lubrication and body width—not necessarily by an error in the published 57 mm number.
Magnum XL is one of the widest current Magnum options in Trojan’s chart, with a 58 mm base and 63 mm mid-body. Durex UK Wide Fit is 57 mm nominal width.
This means Magnum XL starts 1 mm wider at the base than Durex UK Wide and then provides additional room through the mid-body. For someone who finds standard wide condoms restrictive in the body, the shape difference may be as important as the 1 mm base-width difference.
Base widths overlap, but Magnum’s contoured mid-body dimensions show why the brands cannot be matched one-to-one.

Durex UK currently explains its fit categories by nominal width: Close Fit is 52.5 mm, Regular Fit is 56 mm and Wide Fit is 57 mm. Current Durex UK product pages also show 56 mm on products such as Real Feel and 57 mm on Originals Wide Fit.

By base width alone, Magnum Original at 55 mm sits closest to Durex UK Regular at 56 mm. But this answer is incomplete because Magnum Original widens to 62 mm at the mid-body.
Someone who likes the roomier body of Magnum Original may not get the same feel from a 56 mm Durex product even though the base measurements are only 1 mm apart. Shape should therefore be treated as part of size.
Magnum Raw and Durex UK Wide both use a 57 mm base/nominal-width reference. Magnum Raw, however, widens to 60 mm in the mid-body and has a tapered/flared profile.
So Durex Wide is the closest simple width match, but it is not a guaranteed fit-equivalent product.
Durex UK Wide at 57 mm is the nearest current Durex UK fit-category width to Magnum XL’s 58 mm base. Magnum XL also reaches 63 mm in the mid-body, making it roomier through the body than the base-width comparison suggests.
Magnum Ecstasy is the clearest example of why width-only comparison can fail. Trojan’s chart lists a relatively narrow 53 mm base but an exceptionally wide 73 mm mid-body and a super-bulbous shape.
A Durex 52.5, 56 or 57 mm nominal-width label therefore cannot be treated as a direct equivalent to Magnum Ecstasy. The distribution of width along the condom is fundamentally different.
Trojan’s current Magnum chart gives explicit length ranges: most models are listed around 180–200 mm or 190–210 mm. Durex length is product-specific rather than determined only by Close, Regular or Wide fit. For example, a current Durex UK Nude Regular product page lists 195 mm length with 56 mm nominal width.
Do not assume a wider condom is automatically longer. Width, length and contour are separate specifications.
Trojan currently states that Magnum condoms are designed for larger sizes and says people at least around 7 inches long with at least 4.75 inches of girth may find a Magnum suitable. That is Trojan’s own product guidance, not a universal body-size rule for all condom brands.

There is substantial overlap. Magnum bases in Trojan’s current chart range from 53 to 58 mm; Durex UK fit categories span 52.5 to 57 mm.
Several Magnum models become much wider—60, 62, 63 or even 73 mm in Trojan’s published mid-body chart.
Therefore, Magnum is not always wider at the base, but many Magnum models provide substantially more room away from the base.
If the Magnum body room is important to you, a Durex product with a similar base width may still feel tighter through the shaft or head.
If Durex Regular or Wide feels restrictive, compare your current Durex nominal width with the base and mid-body dimensions of Magnum models. Do not automatically jump to Magnum XL: Magnum Original, Raw, BareSkin and other variants have different shapes and width distributions.
If Durex Wide already feels loose, a roomier Magnum body may not be the right direction. Fit should remain secure, not simply large.
Regardless of whether you choose Magnum or Durex, follow the instructions supplied with the exact condom. NHS guidance advises using a new condom every time, checking the use-by date and avoiding oil-based lubricant with latex condoms.
CDC guidance for external condoms advises careful opening, correct orientation, pinching air from the tip, unrolling to the base, holding the base during withdrawal and discarding the condom after use.
