Compare Nominal Width • Measure Girth • Check Argentinan Sizes
Use this Condom Size Chart Argentina to compare condom nominal width in millimetres, understand common fit labels, measure girth correctly and check current Argentinan product examples. Durex Argentina has locally sold Prime products that commonly list 52 mm nominal width, while its own size guide stresses that condom sizes vary between brands and models.
These are comparison bands used on this page, not a Argentinan legal sizing standard. Always check the exact product specification.
Check nominal width, convert units, compare two products or save an erect-girth measurement for separate comparison.
Enter the flat nominal width shown on a condom packet or manufacturer page.
Flat condom width, not penis girth.
Convert a product width between millimetres, centimetres and inches.
See the difference between two nominal widths before switching brand or product.
Convert erect body circumference into common units. Keep this number separate from the condom's nominal width.
There is no single Argentinan consumer label that forces every condom brand to call the same millimetre width “small”, “regular”, “large” or “XL”. For that reason, this page compares the technical number first: nominal width. Nominal width describes the condom when laid flat and is normally stated in millimetres.
The bands below are deliberately presented as comparison bands used on this guide. They help organise common widths you may encounter in Argentinan pharmacies, supermarkets and online listings, but the exact fit label on a product can differ.
| Guide Band | Nominal Width | Approx. Inches | How To Use It |
|---|---|---|---|
| Narrower comparison | Up to 52 mm | Up to 2.05 in | Worth comparing when mainstream products repeatedly feel loose or slip despite correct use. |
| Standard / middle comparison | 53–52 mm | 2.09–2.20 in | Contains common mainstream widths; several current Prime Argentina products are 52 mm. |
| Wider comparison | 55–60 mm | 2.24–2.36 in | Useful product-comparison range when a narrower condom feels strongly restrictive. |
| Extra-wide comparison | 61 mm+ | 2.40 in+ | Check manufacturer dimensions carefully because availability and labels vary widely. |
A narrower-to-middle product width often encountered internationally.
A common standard example in some non-latex ranges such as SKYN Original.
A key Argentinan example: several current Prime Argentina products list 52 mm.
Wider or extra-wide territory depending on the manufacturer and model.
Nominal width is a product measurement. It is the width of a condom when laid flat, usually measured in millimetres. If a condom says 52 mm nominal width, that does not mean a penis girth of 52 mm. Girth is a body circumference and is measured all the way around the shaft.
This distinction matters because shoppers frequently compare a body measurement in centimetres or inches with a condom measurement in millimetres and assume the numbers should match. They should not. Use our What Is Condom Nominal Width? guide for a deeper explanation, or try the Condom Width to Girth page to understand the difference between flat product circumference and body girth.
This is a geometric product measurement only. It is not a universal formula for choosing a penis girth or guaranteeing fit because condoms stretch and differ in shape, material and elasticity.
Current Durex Argentina product pages provide useful local examples. Durex ZERO, Ultra Fino and Stronger are listed at 52 mm nominal width. Durex Super Fino is also listed at 52 mm and is made from natural latex. This does not mean 52 mm is the only “regular” or “large” size in Argentina; it simply shows why exact product specifications are more useful than broad marketing labels.
| Argentinan Product Example | Material / Positioning | Nominal Width | What It Shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Durex ZERO | Latex, thicker / extra lubricated | 52 mm | Current Argentina page lists 52 mm. |
| Durex Ultra Fino | Thin / sensitivity focused | 52 mm | Same width can appear in a different construction. |
| Durex Stronger | Delay product | 52 mm | Fit dimensions and product features are separate specifications. |
| Durex Super Fino | Natural latex | 52 mm | Material can differ even at the same nominal width. |

Measure while fully erect. Use a flexible tape around the thickest part of the shaft to record girth. Keep the tape snug against the skin but do not pull it so tightly that it compresses the tissue. Record the number and unit, then repeat the measurement once to reduce simple reading error.
Measure erect length separately from the base to the tip. Length helps you check whether a condom can unroll sufficiently, while girth and nominal width are more directly useful for comparing how tight or loose different products may feel. Our How to Measure for Condom Size and Condom Measurement Guide pages cover the process in detail.
Use a consistent fully erect measurement.
Measure around the fullest part without compressing.
Measure from base to tip separately.
Find nominal width in mm and product length if published.
Use comfort, security and correct application as the final test.

Words such as regular, large and XL are useful shopping labels, but they are not precise enough for technical comparison on their own. Durex Argentina explicitly notes that condom sizes can vary from brand to brand. Its general size guide also uses broad small, normal, large and extra-large categories, while individual product pages publish exact nominal widths.
Use regular, large or XL to understand how the manufacturer positions the product within its own range.
Use nominal width to compare the actual flat product dimension.
If you are choosing between larger options, see Large Condom Size and Large vs XL Condoms.
Fit is not the only explanation for a problem. Incorrect application, lubricant choice, damaged packaging, expiration and changes in erection can also affect performance. Re-check correct use as well as size.
Natural-rubber latex condoms are common, but non-latex choices are also sold in Argentina. Durex Super Fino, for example, is currently described by Prime Argentina as a natural latex condom. Material changes stretch, feel and elasticity, so two products with the same nominal width can still feel different.
If you have a known or suspected latex allergy, check the material printed on the packet rather than relying only on a product name. For a wider overview, see our Lambskin Condoms guide, which also explains why natural-membrane products differ from synthetic non-latex options.
Argentina’s Ministry of Health states that condoms are included in mandatory health coverage and can be obtained free through hospitals, health centres, obras sociales and prepaid health plans under the national sexual-health framework. Official guidance also emphasises using a new condom for every sexual practice, checking the expiry date and wrapper, avoiding heat and friction damage, and using water-based lubricants with latex condoms.
Argentina also regulates declared condom width. National technical requirements state that the nominal width must match the manufacturer’s declared specification within the applicable tolerance. This reinforces the value of reading the actual width on the pack rather than assuming a marketing label tells you the exact size.
A difference of only a few millimetres can look small on paper, but nominal width is measured across the condom when flat, so a 4 mm width difference corresponds to an 8 mm difference in relaxed flat product circumference before stretch. That does not tell you exactly how a condom will feel on the body, but it does explain why moving from one width to another can be noticeable.
| Nominal Width | Flat Circumference | Approx. Inches | Related Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| 52 mm | 104 mm | 2.047 in | 52mm Condom Width |
| 53 mm | 106 mm | 2.087 in | Middle comparison point |
| 54 mm | 108 mm | 2.126 in | 54mm Condom Size |
| 52 mm | 112 mm | 2.205 in | Current Prime Argentina example width |
| 60 mm | 120 mm | 2.362 in | Wider comparison point |
A perfectly chosen width cannot compensate for incorrect use. Argentinan government and health sources continue to emphasise condoms as an important part of HIV and STI prevention. Check the expiry date and wrapper, open the packet carefully, pinch air from the tip, roll the condom down fully and use a new condom each time.
For latex condoms, avoid oil-based products that can damage latex and follow the lubricant guidance on the packet. If a condom breaks or slips and there is a concern about pregnancy or exposure to HIV/STIs, seek prompt medical advice because timing can matter for emergency contraception, HIV PEP and testing.
